Developers kit for exploring closed-loop control and Squiggle motors

Developers and engineers wanting to explore New Scale Technologies’ (www.newscaletech.com) M3-L closed-loop linear-motion module can now get a developer’s kit for about $700. It includes a M3-L module, a USB adapter, and software for evaluating and prototyping designs. The module contains all the hardware, including a Squiggle motor, position sensor, driver, and microprocessor. The motor can move a shaft up to 6 mm at just under 5 mm/sec. Input voltage must fall between 3.1 and 3.6 V.
