A “silent” armature dampens the click a clutch or brake makes when engaging. This extraneous noise can be a problem in the entertainment and medical fields.

A “silent” armature dampens the click a clutch or brake makes when engaging. This extraneous noise can be a problem in the entertainment and medical fields.

The V Series armatures have a dampening material attached to the back side of the armature, which helps absorb the sound from a clutch or brake engagement. Clutches and brakes are available in six sizes ranging from 4.5 to 150 lb-ft of torque. Standard operating voltage is 24 Vdc; a wide variety of dc coils are also available. Bore sizes are available in either metric or inch.
