PTFE/PUR tubing

Sept. 12, 2013
NITRA pneumatic tubing now includes UV-stabilized polyurethane (PUR) and PTFE styles.
NITRA tubing, made from 100% virgin raw materials, has a hardness specification of Shore A 98. The ether-based tubing offers hydrolosis and oil and cold resistance. The PUR tubing protects against UV rays and UV lights used in curing processes. It is available in 5/32 to 1/2-in. and 4 to 12-mm sizes in 100 and 500-ft rolls. PTFE tubing has a Shore D 55 hardness specification and its resistance to degradation of mechanical properties under severe conditions lets it work in wash-down equipment and higher pressure systems using compression fittings. It is available in 1/4 to 1/2-in. and 4 to 12-mm sizes in 100-ft rolls.AutomationDirect, 3505 Hutchinson Rd., Cumming, GA 30040, (770) 889-2858, www.automationdirect.com
