An alternative to cable drums, the e-spool guides various types of media cables in very narrow spaces and combines two different energy-supply systems. A standard cable carrier is guided by a roller and provides exactly the right length and tension needed through a retention spring. A rotating TwisterBand system connects the roller to the shaft block, which serves as an interface to the permanently laid cables. Cables and hoses can be connected throughout to supply data, compressed air, and liquids and can be modified or retrofitted at any time.
