Fueled by major market expansion, SEMICON West 2010 returns to the Moscone Center in San Francisco from July 13 to 15 with new programs on semiconductor manufacturing, emerging market opportunities, and increasing productivity in established manufacture. Analysts predict a double-digit increase in global semiconductor revenues, and year-over-year capital spending growth in excess in 50%, and there is a major rebound for semiconductor equipment and materials markets, say show organizers.

The North American equipment market is expected to top $4.4 billion in 2010, according to SEMI Consensus Forecast. Both Intel and IBM anticipate significant spending increases in advanced chip geometries and 3D integrated circuit (IC) technologies, while emerging markets in MEMS, LEDs, and flexible electronics are expecting record years. The 21st Annual IEEE/SEMI Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference (ASMC 2010) will be co-located with SEMICON West. For more information, visit SEMICON West 2010.
