DC-UPS

June 2, 2005
The 6A SITOP DC uninterruptible power source prevents data loss and downtime in 24-Vdc industrial networks.

It delivers up to 6 A of output current during power failures or network fluctuations. The DIN-railmounted unit is only 50-mm wide and complements existing 15 and 40-A modules for 24-Vdc networks.A selection of batteries ensures continuous operation for several hours, depending on current requirements. The circuit provides interruption-free transition from network operation to batteries. DIP switches help set operating parameters. LEDs and floating contacts provide integrated monitoring, including backup readiness, battery life, and charge status. Signal and diagnostic data can also transfer directly to a higher-level control system through an optional USB or serial interface.
