Metric Fasteners For Tight Tolerance Assembly

July 13, 2006
Four metric versions of the Cherry Rivetless Nut Plate family of fasteners are available for aircraft interiors and exterior aluminum structures needing tight alignment tolerances.

Metric versions meet U.S. and European standards, apply in seconds, and can replace standard rivet nut plates. They feature a retainer that does not require flaring to meet NASM25027 torque-out and push-out requirements. This eliminates the need for two additional rivet holes, as well as reaming, counterboring, and countersinking.
