Barbed Thermoplastic Connectors

March 22, 2007
Thermobarb FDA PP, a new style of barbed connectors, work with soft, flexible silicone and thermoplastic rubber tubing.

The connectors are for single-use/disposable tubing assemblies and feature long tapered lead barbs to ease installation and form a tight fit to reduce leaks. They have smooth surfaces throughout for unrestricted, uniform flow and can be sterilized by gamma radiation and autoclaves. Service temperatures range from 10 to 220°F (–12 to 104°C) and connectors conform to USP Class VI standards, FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for food contact surfaces, and RoHS.
