Ball Screws Nix The Noise

July 8, 2004
Quiet ball screws come in eight sizes from 5 to 20-mm diameters with pitches from 2 to 32 mm.

Plastic end-cap ball returns eliminate ballscrew noise. Units are available with or without backlash in accuracy grades of T5 and T7. For pitches greater than 5 mm, dual-start thread profiles provide higher load-carrying capacity than single-start screws. A combination wiper on the ball nut protects against contamination. Teflon end caps are available for highvacuum applications.
