Heat-Curing Epoxy

Sept. 14, 2006
A one-part epoxy, SC 2002 NS (nonsagging), bonds dissimilar substrates including fabrics, wood, steel (stainless, mild carbon, galvanized, and tin plated), aluminum, ceramics, and glass.

The self-leveling epoxy gel has good gap-filling properties, is 100% reactive, and cures a 275°F with a fixture time of about 1 min. Fully cured bonds have tensile lap shear strengths of 2.2 kpsi, resist corrosion, and withstand temperatures from 60 to 300°F.
