Quick-Access Fasteners

July 12, 2007
Redesigned Dzus Dart quarter-turn fasteners provide cost-effective, quick-access fastening in high-volume, light-duty applications.

Thermoplastic construction gives high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and good aesthetics for applications such as automotive panels, electronics, and other consumer products. Installation requires no special tools. Simple push-on retainers captivate the Dart studs. Stud lengths range from 11.4 to 25.4 mm and accommodate materials from 2.5 to 19.8-mm thick. Four standard head styles and five different receptacle styles offer a range of access and engagement options. With a fit tolerance of 1.2 mm, Dart fasteners are reportedly more forgiving than many other quarter-turn fasteners.
