Ultraminiature Ball Screws

Feb. 22, 2007
Ultraminiature ball screws, manufactured from corrosion-resistant 400-Series stainless steel that is hardened and precision ground, are available in diameters as small as 3 mm with a choice of two pitches: 1 or 0.5 m.

Four nut types are available: Series 1112 is a cylindrical single nut with an attaching thread; Series 1214 is a compact cylindrical single nut with fitting key; and Series 1412 is a single nut with flange. These versions are available with play or preloaded using oversized balls. The fourth type, Series 1510, is a spring-preloaded double nut that compensates for torque variations from ground-thread inaccuracies.
