Knovel, a Web-based application that provides technical information with analytical and search tools, has included real-world problems in the 6th edition of The Science and Engineering of Materials textbook, by Askeland, Fulay and Wright. Based on the topic of each chapter, students can search Knovel’s engineering content and use the search-optimization features and data-analysis tools to answer a range of questions.
