At this year’s Pack Expo (Booth S-2351), PTI launched a next generation airborne ultrasound inspection system, the Seal-Scan 520. It features a compact test head with focused ultrasonic sensors,  stainless steel workstation with small footprint, operator touch screen with optional PC connection, L-Scan and C-Scan modes with additional seal scanning options, fast scanning rate capabilities, higher sensitivity to smaller defects, robust high frequency signal with higher pulse, and wireless connectivity. The system provides a non-destructive solution for seal quality testing, providing seal verification and common defect detection including incomplete seals, partial seals, weak seals, and channel defects.
