Heavy-duty brushless motor
The EC22 HD (heavy-duty) 22-mm-diameter brushless motor was designed for deep-drilling technology and it resists the most extreme operating conditions.The electronically commutated motor operates at depths around 16,000 ft and in bore holes up to 36,000-ft long.
The motor operates at temperatures up to 240°C and under atmospheric pressure conditions from high vacuum to 25,000 psi. It resists impulse and impact forces of 100 g and while submerged in oil, trebling its 80-W output rating to 240 W due to improved heat dissipation.
The motor’s efficiency of 88% in air (and above 70% in oil) makes it suitable for battery-powered applications.
