The ND 780 digital readout system is compatible with manual machine tools, such as milling, turning, boring, and drilling machines, and single or multiaxis machine tools with up to three axes.

The system has comprehensive tables for tools, threads, and cutting speed, as well as simple cycles to speed up everyday machining tasks. Additional features include a calculator (arithmetic, trigonometric, and taper calculations), stopwatch, feedrate display, selectable resolution, linear and nonlinear error compensation, and troubleshooting tools, such as signal diagnostics.
