Intellectual Ventures Laboratory
David Gasperino is a senior engineer at Intellectual Ventures Laboratory (IVL) in Bellevue, WA, where he works with the Global Good fund. At IVL, David has led modeling efforts in support of a diverse range of projects, from proof-of-concept analyses to detailed designs. He holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota, where he focused on developing approaches to better understand and improve radiation detector crystal growth processes. Prior to joining IVL, David was a senior engineer at Cargill. There, he led the development of the company's CFD capabilities and supported teams throughout the world with process analysis and design.
Valerio Marra is the marketing director at COMSOL in Burlington, MA. Previous roles include working in applications, technical support, and sales. Valerio received his PhD in fluid machines and energy systems engineering.
