In the past, putting together a cartesian system required an intense cycle of mechanical analysis, definition of bill of materials, CAD generation, quoting and finally, ordering. This cycle could take several days in some cases, thus, potentially delaying a step in a world of fast paced projects. An online tool was created so users can select a Cartesian System and in less than 20 minutes, get the system information, CAD file, price, delivery date and even place an order. This tool has proven to increase productivity of Design Engineers and also help Controls Engineers since the online tool is capable of generating commissioning files that can be used upon arrival of the system, saving several hours of setup.
